How a resident feels at Wing Kei matters. When residents are cared for, they are more content. We promote self-nourishment so residents can make choices about their own care. Our team nourishes with a constant love, so residents know they are honoured. Culturally responsive care is part of our ethos. We engage in conversations and develop care plans that uphold what is important to residents and their families.
Families are part of the care team
When a resident moves to Wing Kei they miss their family and the familiarity of their home. Maintaining connection is vital to wellbeing. Families are always welcome to visit or take their loved one on an outing. We know communication is key. Our teams are trained to notice and respond to changes in residents and will notify the primary contact when we see something unusual.
Share your gifts
Resident experience is enhanced by the involvement of volunteers who serve in a variety of roles including assisting with social activities, being a companion, and helping at mealtimes.
