A bold vision for aging with grace
There are currently more seniors than continuing care beds. The demand will only grow, with a projected 1 in 5 Albertans (estimated 1.2 million) will be aged 65 and over by 2046. We must grow now to meet the demand.
Wing Kei Highland Park is a bold undertaking; a $110M investment to respond to growing needs in our community. Opening in Fall 2026, the purpose-built, state-of-the-art centre will be home to 203 residents who will benefit from culturally-responsive long-term and hospice care. Circle of Joy is a $5M capital campaign to raise funds towards the capital costs of the centre, which rest entirely with Wing Kei.
An innovative campus of care
Wing Kei Highland Park is a modern building with state-of-the-art design, large central garden space, and plenty of natural light.
Wing Kei Highland Park offers 187 Continuing Care Type A (long term care) and 16 Continuing Care Type C (hospice) spaces. All rooms will be private rooms with limited conjoined rooms designed with couples in mind.
Residents will be part of a vibrant community, fostered by intergenerational connections through the on-site Wing Kei Montessori School.

Living at Wing Kei is like winning the lottery
“When we realized my mom would need assisted living nursing home care, we conducted extensive research,” says David, son of Lai Gin Quon, a Wing Kei resident. He shared that finding a home with a reputation of excellence in care and where his mom would feel an immediate sense of belonging was vital. “We were looking for a centre where our Chinese culture, language, and food would be honoured and celebrated.” Lai Gin Quon moved into Wing Kei’s Greenview Supportive Living Centre in 2015. “That was lottery win number one,” says David with a grin.
In August 2022 Lai Gin Quon had a stroke and was transferred from hospital to a long term care centre, since she required a different level of care than supportive living. “The whole time my mom repeatedly said she wanted to go back home. What she meant was that she wanted to return to Wing Kei,” says David. He placed her on the Wing Kei long term care waitlist. Their prayers were answered two months later when Lai Gin Quon was welcomed to Wing Kei Crescent Heights. “That was God’s divine providence. Lottery win number two,” says David.
