Nutrition and Comfort
Food is one of the most important aspects to daily living. Familiar foods, a vital part of the cultural responsive care model, offer comfort. Mealtimes provide a time and space for residents to bond and find joy. The menu at Wing Kei is carefully crafted between our Registered Dietitian and Food Services teams. Input is consistently collected from residents and their families to provide feedback and ideas for new menu items.
The menu offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. Lunch and dinner always offers two entree options, providing residents with autonomy and choice. The menu changes twice per year, and each season’s menu operates on a four week rotation.
Family members rank Wing Kei’s food quality at 81/100, ten points above the provincial average.
