Each resident’s experience—how we interact, build trust, and care for each other—is as much an indicator of quality as meeting of health standards. Person and family centred care purposefully engages people who are important to the resident in the care experience and acknowledges residents as the experts in their own health and wellness.

Evidence of our approach to care is reflected in our receiving Exemplary Standing—the highest possible ranking—from Accreditation Canada, which we have maintained since 2013. Accreditation Canada is an independent, non-governmental, non-profit organization that assesses health care organizations against national and global standards of care.

Care and quality is everyone’s job
Every single team member is involved with ensuring quality care—from nursing and therapeutic staff who attend to each resident’s health and wellbeing to the hospitality staff who prepare nourishing meals and keep our centres clean; from the facilities staff who ensure our buildings and equipment operate smoothly to the administrative staff who provide support to our backend operations. Without exception, everyone contributes to quality.
